Heather Hamilton

Hi, I'm Heather.

I've been in the recruiting industry for 20 years doing everything from hiring for tech, marketing, finance and more, to leading global recruiter training on applicant tracking systems and candidate generation.

Most of my work has involved engaging job-seekers directly and boy did I get an earful on how challenging the job search can be. I get it and I agree. Why does it have to be so hard?

I'm here to make it a lot easier. During all of my time in recruiting, the part I loved most was helping job-seekers take the next step in their careers. And I know what a difference it makes to get the inside scoop on

  • hiring processes
  • what recruiters look for
  • how applicant tracking systems work
  • the kinds of things that can knock you out of contention for a job
  • what a great resume looks like

Grab a couple of job descriptions for the positions that interest you and let's get started cutting through the hassle and getting the attention of some recruiters. We got this!

This is what you get in the Masterclass:

  • Bite-size recorded instruction that covers topics like applicant tracking system scanning, formatting, selecting the right content, targeting your resume and demonstrating your value to future employers
  • Copy and paste formatting to make it easy for you to get started
  • My Visibility Operating System, which will ensure that your resume will work well with applicant tracking systems, will beat ranking systems and will be easy for recruiters to find in search
  • Exercises to help you identify keywords, write bullets and customize your resume for specific companies and positions
  • Optional modules for people with long careers, multiple positions at one employer and those who have worked in consulting
  • Troubleshooting and how-to content on topics like spacing, lengthening or shortening your resume and the many idiosyncrasies of Microsoft Word.

I've included EVERYTHING you need to know to create a fantastic resume that will attract recruiters hiring for the types of positions that interest you most.

Here's a peek at the modules...

65 Practice Interview Questions

Whether you have already purchased my course (welcome!) or you're still deciding, everyone likes some free stuff. Am I right?

I have compiled a list of 65 practice questions you can use to prepare for interviews.

Frequently Asked Questions

➤ How long will it take to go through the course?

That depends on you. There are several points in the instruction where you will want to stop and complete an exercise. There are some modules that you can skip if they don't apply to you. And like with other things in life, you get out what you put in. Individual lessons clock in at about 15 minutes, on average. So you don't need to consume this all in one sitting.

Having said that, one focused day should get you through the program and exercises.

➤ Do I need to watch all of the videos?

No! In fact, you could go through the whole training using only the reference materials (guides, lists and exercises) that are included. You could also focus on some of your resume problem areas now and come back to the rest later. Pick and choose.

➤ How long will I have access?

You'll have access to this course for one year. Once you have created a great resume, I recommend you download the customization guide so you can easily create alternate versions in the future.

➤ What else do you offer besides this masterclass? Can I get more help?

I'm glad you asked. I have a team of former recruiters who do everything from providing detailed written resume feedback to job search coaching. You can view the additional information on this page or visit our website at resumeinsider.net.

➤ What makes you different than all of the job search experts I see online?

So many people have opinions on job search related topics. The problem with all of that free advice is you don't know the credibility of the "expert." You could wade through a ton of content and try to pick out the information that works for you, or you could just let me - an actual recruiter - tell you what the deal is.

Aside from that recruiting background, a big part of my career has been dedicated to writing. Bit of a word nerd over here. So with me, you get the insider knowledge AND the obsession with using language to influence.

Plus, I'm a little obsessed with helping people find a new job and I leave no stone unturned.
